Don Shewey dismissed Bonoff's work as 'sappy, MOR schlock.' Though 'Trouble Again' and 'Baby Don't Go' are 'fast, fun and disposable — i.e., everything a pop single should be. The remainder of Restless Nights is insufferable sludge.'
