Our old applications Multicore Environment and Multicore Environment Advanced served well over the years the always present problem of setting affinity masks on processors, setting priorities on executable files etc, especially when FSX, the most popular simulator out there, was written at a time when Multi CPUs was on their childhood. Multicore Next, with all latest technologies in mind, written from scratch to be more effective – and lighter also itself – than ever, comes to help not only Simmers but in all aspects of starting up a series of demanding applications. You can set the applications you want to execute, save their configuration and then execute them with one push of a button. Draining all available CPU power and share it among applications was never easier.

I was very sceptical and negative about this little utility when I first got it and thought I couldn’t really see the difference. However, I did a flight in FSX Steam Edition today, around Lord Howe airport (by Aerosoft) in the Miles Hawk (by Aeroplane Heaven) and had constant slow loading of textures where the plane would be completely white for several seconds and the airport scenery black. I then exited FSX and loaded Multicore Next and did the exact same flight again, with absolutely perfect textures all of the time. My specs are: Win7 64-bit, i7-2600K (overclocked to 4.60GHz), 8GB DDR RAM and GTX980 graphics card, which I consider relatively high end and this utility definitely makes a difference for me. The developer also gave a 100% free upgrade from the older version! Multicore Next, can run at any PC that is able to run Microsoft's FSX.
