The world map is linear with the controlled character's movements, which is then limited to dotted lines from place to place. The field map is used whenever the player enters a town, dungeon, or landmark. It consists of 3D characters on a 2D pre-rendered background.

Animations are overlaid to create motion such as the movement of water or light effects. Battle mode is a 3D field that compliments the current field map. Turn-based battles occur in this between playable characters and CPU-controlled enemies.

Standard actions such as attack, magic, defend, item and escape are present and implemented in various ways. ****************************************************************************** Note that even though the ISOs provided in this archive have been tested thoroughly and appear to be sound, I have been told to label this download as a 'no-verify' due to non-fatal errors in burning with IMGBurn. The following is pasted information from a README.txt I've enclosed with the archive '[The miscompare errors in IMGBurn] appear to be false positives or errors that don't affect the actual disk image as I've tested both disks 1 and 2 at two different burn speeds (32x and 4x) and one with and without the.cue files on an SCPH-1001 PSX console through a gameshark boot method.

It is unknown if this is due to a custom bootloader hacked into the ISO but as I have no official (J) disk to verify if this is the case and considering the fact that these disks have the same ISO9960 label on the files from 3 different sources and formats (One IMG with a CCD, One BIN, and one ECM BIN with a.CUE), since I've successfully tested this on unmodded hardware, it should be sound for you to burn. I used the bins extracted from the ECM file source in this archive since it HEAVILY implies the ISOs were tested for errors before they were packed (in addition to my own error testing).'
