Egalax Touch Drivers Linux
Hi there, Feel like I have been pulling my hair out for months over this one! Everything on google seems to lead to a dead end: I have a eGalax Touchscreen which I have used under windows and other distros of linux. But I am currently running some software that runs so much better on cent os than any other distro (another mystery in itself), so I thought it would be simple to put the touchscreen on the centos PC right? It appears to be installed in the Kernel, lsusb does show it there, and it shows up and assigns itself to /dev/input/mouse1 (when I run cat /dev/input/mouse1 and touch the screen I get a reaction) But xinput does not detect it at all.
Driver.htm, using 2.6.x drivers, and my x-server which is 1.10.0 seems to install fine, but the touch does not work. I've also changed up the install script a bit to install into /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d and the output was: I don't have an xorg.conf as I use xorg.conf.d for.
I have tried writting all kinds of xorg.conf.d files and hal files etc etc. The current Kernel I am running is a self compiled kernel 3.9.6 but that can easily be changed to anything that will help me run this! So can someone please explain step by step how to get this to interact with X!
As I say the Kernel seems to find it with no dramas, something in Xorg seems to restrict it? The Eclipse Graphical Editing Framework Gef Pdf Free. I had it working at the beginning of last year (I think CentOS 6.2?) but don't recall how I did it. Any help appreciated! Regards, Matt.
